Configuration Mode

Configuration Mode allows you to build advanced, highly structured trading strategies using modular indicators and quantitative systems, with the flexibility of AI-driven optimization or fully manual parameter control.
This mode is designed for traders who want precise control over strategy behavior while still benefiting from Compsβ AI capabilities.
+ Add Indicator
Strategies in Configuration Mode are built by selecting indicators and quantitative systems from the Comps extensive and advanced library.
You can add indicators to two key layers:
Signal Generation β Defines when a trade opportunity is identified
Signal Confirmation β Validates and filters signals before they are finalized
You may add:
Up to 15 indicators for Signal Generation
Up to 15 indicators for Signal Confirmation
This layered approach ensures robust signal quality and reduces false positives.
AI Optimization vs. Custom Parameters
When adding an indicator, you can choose how its parameters are handled:
AI-Optimized Parameters

Comps AI automatically selects and tunes indicator parameters
Optimization is based on the asset, timeframe, market regime, and volatility conditions
Parameters are re-evaluated and optimized dynamically each time a signal is generated
Designed to adapt to changing market conditions without manual intervention
Custom Parameters

Advanced users can manually define all indicator settings
Full control over values, thresholds, and calculation logic
Ideal for traders with proven models or proprietary configurations
Each indicator also includes a dedicated field where you can add AI-specific instructions, guiding how the indicator should be interpreted or weighted within the strategy.
AI Instructions β Strategy Execution
You can optionally provide global instructions to the AI that define how the overall strategy should be interpreted and executed.
You can:
Write custom execution instructions
Select from predefined Instruction Templates
These instructions control how Comps AI:
Processes strategy logic
Prioritizes conditions and indicators
Resolves conflicts between signals
Executes the strategy consistently across markets
AI Instructions β Signal Analysis
You can also define how the AI analyzes and explains each generated signal.
You can:
Describe analysis criteria in your own words
Use predefined analysis templates
This allows you to control:
Market context evaluation
Signal confidence or strength assessment
Supporting logic included in the signal explanation
Setting Up Your Configuration-Based Strategy
Add the indicators you need for both Signal Generation and Signal Confirmation. You can choose to let Comps AI automatically optimize and manage indicator parameters, or manually control them by defining your own settings.
Optionally, you may add AI instructions at multiple levels:
Per indicator, to guide how each indicator is interpreted or weighted
At the strategy level, to define overall execution behavior
For signal analysis, to control how signals are analyzed and explained
These options give you full flexibility to combine AI automation with manual precision, depending on your strategy requirements.
Win Rate Optimization
You can enable Win Rate Optimization to allow Comps AI to refine execution and filtering logic with the goal of improving the overall signal success rate, while maintaining risk discipline. Each filter has a description explaining what it does.
Override Base System Prompt
For advanced users with highly detailed or proprietary strategies, Comps offers the Override Base System Prompt option.
When enabled, your custom instructions will fully replace both the base system prompt and any administrative system prompts, rather than being appended to them. This ensures your strategy logic is executed exactly as defined, without additional system-level influence.
Enable Strategy for Signal Generation
If you want your strategy to be available for generating signals, enable the Run Strategy option. This will make your strategy selectable in the Strategy dropdown within the Signal Generation Cockpit.
Realtime Indicator Badge Settings
You can optionally enable real-time indicator badges to enhance signal visibility:
Trend Indicator β Displays the current market direction and trend strength
Smart Money / ICT Indicator β Highlights institutional activity and liquidity behavior
Signal Strength Indicator β Shows the confidence or strength level of the signal
Volume Indicator β Displays volume activity to support trade validation (primarily for equities)
Save Your Strategy
Once all settings are configured, click Save to securely store your strategy and make it available according to your selected options.
