Generating Signals
A simple step-by-step guide to generating AI-powered trading signals in under one minute.
Once you are logged into your account, click Generate in the left navigation menu or select Generate Signals from your dashboard. This will take you to the Signal Generation page, also referred to as the Signal Generation Cockpit.
Signal Generation Cockpit Overview
Within the cockpit, you will configure the following settings:
Strategy
To generate a signal, you must first select a strategy. The strategy defines when to enter a trade, when to exit, and how profits are taken based on market conditions.
By default, Comps includes over 10 preset strategies, allowing you to generate signals immediately. Use the strategy dropdown to select from:
Built-in preset strategies
Your custom strategies (if created)
Timeframe
The timeframe determines the period of market data analyzed to generate the signal, influencing whether the signal is short-term or long-term.
You can choose timeframes ranging from 1 minute to 12 months, depending on your trading style.
Set Risk–Reward
This setting controls how much risk is taken versus how much profit is targeted for each signal.
Stop Loss: Defines where the trade exits if the market moves against your position
Take Profit: Defines profit targets when the trade moves in your favor
You can select a predefined risk profile:
Conservative
Moderate
Aggressive
Or customize your own by setting:
Stop Loss
Take Profit 1 (TP1)
Take Profit 2 (TP2)
Take Profit 3 (TP3)
News Filter
Economic and market news can have a significant impact on price direction and volatility.
Comps provides a News Filter that allows you to exclude signals during news events. You can choose to:
Avoid all news
Avoid low-impact news
Avoid medium-impact news
Avoid high-impact news
This helps generate more stable, lower-volatility signals aligned with your risk preferences.
Enter Symbol
In this field, enter the trading symbol of the asset you want to analyze.
Examples include:
Stocks:

Comps supports assets across the global financial markets.
Note: Symbols are automatically converted to uppercase and sanitized.
Generate Signal
Once all settings are configured, click Generate Signal.
Comps will:
Scan live and historical market data
Analyze the asset using the selected strategy
Apply AI-powered computation and validation
Generate a structured, risk-managed trading signal based on your criteria
