Prompt Mode

Prompt Mode allows you to create strategies using natural language instructions or custom prompts. You describe your trading logic, rules, and conditions in plain language, and Comps translates them into a structured strategy.

This mode is ideal for:

• Traders who prefer conceptual or rule-based descriptions

• Rapid strategy creation without coding

• Iterating on ideas quickly

Example Prompt

You are a trend-following trading specialist.

Generate trading signals when:
- Price is above the 200 EMA (long) or below (short)
- Volume is increasing in the direction of the trend
- RSI shows momentum (not overbought/oversold)

Setting Up Your Prompt-Based Strategy

Complete all required fields, starting by giving your strategy a clear and descriptive title. In the Prompt text area, describe your trading logic, rules, and conditions in detail.

If you want this strategy to be available for signal generation, enable the Run Strategy option. This will make the strategy appear in the Strategy dropdown within the Signal Generation Cockpit, allowing you to select it when generating signals.

Once everything is set, click Save to store your strategy.
